The Power of Dream
As humans, we get to that point in our life where we begin to dream. This could vary from aspiration to futuristic.
For the record; “A dream gives us hope for the future, and it also brings us power in the present. It makes it possible for us to prioritize everything we do. A person who has a dream knows what he is willing to give up in order to go up.”
At the very core of our life, dreams are what define us, empower us and make us happy.
Sometimes, you come across something that inspires you; this could come from a movie, a song, from a mentor, or someone you admire, or what you aspire/desire – with that drive, you channel your mind towards that dream.
Bella Shmurda is one of the artistes in Nigeria whose name has become a household name and his songs have been receiving massive airplay in various media houses in Nigeria and globally. With songs like; Vision 2020, Cash App featuring Zlatan, and Rush. As a matter of fact, he had a very challenging beginning, but with the power of dreams he was able to conquer his past.
While growing up, he worked hard to rise into the Nigeria Music scene by releasing a lot of freestyles, which he uploaded to his social media handles – his effort was still not noticed. Luckily, one of his work caught the attention of Olamide Baddoo YBNL Boss who later signed him to his YBNL Label, and the rest they say is history.
History has it that; Alexander Graham Bell dreamed of the phone before he went on to invent it.
Are you on the path to achieving your dreams or you’re still waiting for the right time? It is your time to shine, you have got to live a life of purpose. Remember, you won’t be here forever – what will you want to be remembered for?
Dreams breathe life into everything we do. You must understand that our dreams are the most valuable thing we will ever own, and we need to protect them. You don’t just think a dream. You feel it in your bones and in your heart.
I once read a book by John Maxwell, titled; Your Road Map for Success. There was this statement he made; “I believe that each of us has a dream placed in the heart. I’m not talking about wanting to win the lottery. That kind of idea comes from a desire to escape our present circumstances, not to pursue a heartfelt dream. I’m talking about a vision deep inside that speaks to the very soul. It’s the thing we were born to do. It draws on our talents and gifts. It appeals to our highest ideals. It sparks our feelings of destiny. It is inseparably linked to our purpose in life. The dream starts us on the success journey.”
It is imperative for you to understand that our dreams act as a compass and help us choose a path, among our many options. Dreams shape our choices that shape our way forward.
I leave you with this inspiring quote; “Go after your dream, no matter how unattainable others think it is.”
